Planning Aid

How does Planning Aid work?

Planning Aid offers two main services:

  • Free and independent casework advice from a qualified planner;
  • Community Planning activities (training, information and facilitation for groups about how planning may be affecting your community)

In each region we have a Caseworker (who is fully qualified to give independent advice and who will sometimes hand cases over to a volunteer) and a Community Planner who works alongside communities in helping to plan their neighbourhood. On this site you can have a look at examples of Planning Aid cases and community planning activities in your area; please have a look at Advice and Community Planning examples in your region.

To help us with our Casework and Community Planning activities, we have a committed network of qualified and experienced volunteers. To find out about potentially volunteering for Planning Aid please follow this link to go through to the Volunteer section of the website.

If you are in doubt as to whether we can help you, or have any queries about Planning Aid services, please give us a call, or send an email to info@planningaid.rtpi.org.uk.
